I tried them while drawing this crocus. They are like butter, but leave quite a bit of "dust" that at first I mistakenly tried to brush off (that explains the smudge in the upper left part of the picture. For the rest of the picture, I removed the "dust" the PROFESSIONAL way - I blew it off! I think maybe there is something about these amazingly soft pencils that I have to learn, but for now I am not totally displeased with the end result.
As usual, the original looks a bit better than the photo.
I'm off today to work on ephemera packs with my friend Nancy.
See you later.
Bye!
Nice! ^^ I like the color of the flower.
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki - Pastel pencils are really fun to play with! I think your flower is very nice, and I especially like the point where the flower meets the stem. It has a lot of dimension to it. Well done! hugs, nancy
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your expirimenting!--there's so many things to try out there. Be carful of the dust from pastels if you have any lung problems...that's one reason why I can't use them.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful, Vicki! Sounds like you really lucked out at Michaels, have fun with your new art toys.
ReplyDeletebeautiful! i love the layered petals.
