Groundhog's Day Birthday

It is the hubster's birthday today. It is quite cold and very windy here, but it is still a nice break from winter coats and boots.

I am eating breakfast - just returned from the gym on the ground floor. It is really nice if very small. Today I did hanging leg lifts, rode the bike on hills, walked the treadmill, used the leg press and walked for a bit on the elliptical. I worked out for about an hour and a half and feel great!!

I'm not sure what we are going to do today, I don't think we will be walking the beach, but the view is still spectacular. I think we may have to try out the hot tub. It is outside next to the two pools. I think a cold, windy day might be the ideal conditions under which to soak a bit.

I don't have any new pix just yet so I thought I would revisit a great pic I took down here last year. I hope you don't mind.

I will try to do some sketching or take some pix today. I think I may have to take the hubster for a celebration dinner. Maybe my sister and her husband will join us.

I see on facebook that Jackson, MI, got about 10 inches of snow overnight. I'll bet the grandgirls are thrilled to have the day off from school and wonder if they will have school tomorrow.

Stay warm  and stay off the roads. I think if you are back home you should curl up with a cup of tea or cocoa and read a good book.

xoxo

  1. What a trooper - exercising while on vacation! I got my exercise today shoveling the top of our driveway ... I'm having someone plow the rest of it. As you know, it's kinda long. Love the pic! hugs, nancy p.s. Tell him I said Happy Birthday!

  2. Happy Birthday to your husband. We got 15" of snow here and, like Nancy, shoveling is the only exercising I'll be doing today. Thanks for the idea for sitting and having that cup of tea. I just got a brand new box of herbal tangerine. That will be next on my list!

  3. I didn't know what a Groundhog day was, so I asked an 'experienced' co-worker yesterday. Apparently the Groundhogs can predict seasons...and that's really fascinating ^^
