Here Comes The Sun

It is very cold this morning, but the sun is shining brightly and we are expecting a high in the low 50s today. The hubster and I were going to set the alarm and get up just before sunup to drive a bit further east and watch it happen. I would take pictures. However, when we watched the local news last night, the morning temps were going to be in the 30s with wind chills in the 20s. Needless to say we "unset" the alarm before retiring for the night.

Here are a couple of photos I took yesterday morning while walking the beach. This was later in the morning after my gym workout.

I love the color contrast in this one.

This is my main squeeze, my best friend - The Hubster

Later in the day we drove over to Pensacola to Joe Patti's where we chose snapper and shrimp. We had the snapper last evening and are planning shrimp fried rice for dinner tonight. The snapper was good, but we are really missing a grill. The next fish we choose, we will try wrapping in foil and baking. The top of the stove quick fry in an old frying pan didn't work very well. Here are a couple of pix I took while we were there.

Here is a rare picture of me (I am usually behind the camera) that my sister took. I am standing on the sidewalk next to a horsehead on a meter base. I don't know if this is to represent where you tie up your horse or if it is a cute way to cover meters in the off season. In any case they were pretty cool.

And finally here is last evenings sunset.

I never get tired of this vista.

I haven't been doing any sketching, but now that I am beginning to settle in maybe I will make a start. For now, it is time to make my way down to the gym and get my daily (week days only) workout. My sister and her husband are planning to come over later and walk the beach with us once the temperature rises a bit.

I hope to have more pix for you tomorrow and mayhaps a bit of art.

xoxo
