As you can see, I forgot to hide the tool bar and the color picker. |
The girls' mother only had to work until noon so they left in the early afternoon. I picked up a bit and then watched the Tigers play the Mud Hens (opening day is tomorrow!!!) before brewing some flavored coffee and joining the hubster in the swing in the sun. We drank coffee, talked, walked the yard, pulled a few weeds and then came indoors. I came into my art room and decided to try my hand at a sketch or two.
Just in case you can't tell, this is a small boat pulled up on shore. |
This is a church I've attempted before that is a few miles down the road from here. I started too big and then couldn't quite fit it all on the page. |
The hubster has some chicken breasts marinating in Zesty Italian Dressing which he will throw on the grill shortly and I have some dark greens, tomatoes, avocados, and dried cherries to make a salad. I think I will cut up my chicken and incorporate it into the salad. I love having a big salad for dinner.
I must say it's been a lovely day and I just got off the phone with a girlfriend whose been in Arizona for a couple of months. She is home and we are going to head for Lansing tomorrow to do some necessary things and then hit the mall and do lunch. I'm looking forward to it.
I hope you are having a lovely day and that you are making time for yourself and your creativity. I must say I am so enjoying looking at all the lovely blogs and really appreciate the online art community. I am working on a swap for the Watercolour Pencil Buddies Yahoo! Group to which I belong, but will wait to share it until the intended recipient has received it.
