Home Again and Ready for A Rest

We had a wonderful time with the girl tribe and Zoë's parents up north this past weekend and just got home this afternoon. The girls were pretty good except for the car ride. Four hours is a long time for them and there were a few meltdowns.

Once we got to the condo, though, things got better. Papa took the girls to the pool a couple of times a day and they went to the beach to watch the sunset each evening. On the last evening Uncle Herb met us at the beach with a load of wood and made a lovely bonfire.

There were a couple of nice sunsets.

I stayed at the condo with baby Zoë while the "big kids" went to the beach.

And the girls did some art in their journals.

I'll have more to share tomorrow and hope you'll come back to see what I have to share.

xoxo

  2. The journal is so cute! Beautiful pictures and beautiful kids. I sure miss the time with my family and my nephews and nieces are growing so big now during my absence... that's the only thing I don't like being so far away from home because I really want to be a good uncle and watch them grow up.

  6. Beautiful photos. I really enjoy seeing kids working in a journal. I wish I had been a sketcher when my kids were small.

  7. Yes! Road trip and sitting in the back seat with my sisters. YOu have brought back a flood of memories for me. Thank you! It looks lovely and even though you need a break now that you are home I bet the memories you helped build for the girls will be cherished in years to come.
