The only thing is the pictures on the rainy day tended to be one of three types:
Raindrops in focus instead of the picture beyond:
Poor timing trying to get a pic without the windshield wiper in the middle of it:
Or a wonderfully serendipitous "watercolor" literally through the water. Isn't this spectacular? This is the original picture as shot.
And then there is the reward after listening to Miss Bossy Pants (the GPS) and a long rainy spell:
I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I just got a call with an offer to spend some time with Little Miss 3 today, so instead of a walk on the treadmill I will just grab a bite to eat and head into town to do the grocery shopping and then pick her up to spend a few hours with us.
I hope to get some art done today and will share with you tomorrow. Meanwhile, I am closing in on 40,000 visitors to my site so will have to have a giveaway later in the week. I have to decide first what I will giveaway and then get it set up. Stay tuned.......
xoxo
Sorry to hear of your bout with not feeling well, I take it you have lactose intolerance or an allergy? There are so many hidden products in our foods, especially processed or when eating out.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are great references...they always say to squint to eliminate the details, so you can paint the "essence" of the scene or still life. I actually like them, with exception of the one with the wiper blade in the middle...
What a hoot! I love your windshield wiper shot! It sounds like you had a great time (with the exception of the last part) and I've really enjoyed seeing your photos. Now it will be fun to see what you do with them in your paintings.
ReplyDeleteI love your watercolor through the water! Great shot.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how we haven't had an accident when I shout 'stop the car' so I can take a photo. Great watercolour shot ;)
ReplyDeleteSeems that you enjoyed yourself despite the couple of down days. Loved the rainbow. My husband named our GPS Afrodite (weird).
ReplyDeleteThe watercolor through the water is brilliants, love all the shots
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're home! That "watercolor" shot is really fabulous and will make a wonderful painting. Hope you're feeling better by now! hugs, nancy
