After the performance, Miss 8 came home with us and spent the night. The next night Miss 3 and her cousin Miss 7 stayed the night. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep over the weekend, but I surely had tons of fun!!
I did somehow find the time to do a couple of quick sketches for EDM:
And I finally, with the help of Maer, figured out where the shadows should be on my Adirondack chairs. I didn't have time to redo the value study so I spent a bit of time putting together a rough digital version. What do you think of this?
I think I will begin a new Adirondack painting tomorrow. Today I am planning to spend the day with my friend, Nancy, and expect to be busy and have big fun.
And now.........drum roll.........I have chosen a random number (actually I chose two because the first one was #8, my friend Nancy, and she already has the Inktense pencils and didn't want to be included in the drawing) and the winner is #15,
Tracy, send me your snail mail addy and I will get the pencils in the mail.
And now I leave you with a picture of a lovely rose the hubster cut for me yesterday:
I hope to see you tomorrow.

Aww, the photos are so cute! I'd definitely follow that bunny down a rabbit hole! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm also curious to see your Adirondack painting. The shadows do look good! <3
What adorable little dancers!
ReplyDeleteYour two little Misses are adorable in their costumes. And the rose the hubster picked for looks absolutely perfect!
ReplyDeleteAs you know, I think they're just as cute as can be (even cuter in person, I might add). Did watching the recital choke you up? Anything live with children performing in it always chokes me up whether I know them or not. I would probably have been sobbing! lol hugs, nancy
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! Nice sketches Vicki, and love the progress on the chairs so far.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful girls in their costumes!
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable girls! You painting also looks like it is off to a good start. Nice visual interest with the shadows you worked out.
